You may have seen in our range of Hook & Loop tapes that we supply different types of solutions, some, like HALCO PYRO, are fire or heat resistant, HALCO POLYLOK are moulded hook solutions, but we also have our core Hook & Loop ranges, PRO, PLUS & ESSENTIALS.

Simply put these 3 ranges can be used a wide variety of applications and tasks, we've seen them used across different sectors such as medical, transport, industrial apparel and more. In this insight, we'll be discussing the differences, and potential use cases, of each.

Our high performance Hook & Loop solution, HALCO PRO is a premium range designed for a variety of different applications where open/close cycles are more frequent, and where high peel and sheer strength is needed. It had a suitability of up to 10,000 open/close cycles, and is suitable for use in long life products, such as medical equipment, footwear or bags.	HALCO PLUS is our mid range fastener range. Suitable for up to 5,000 open/close cycles, PLUS is a great choice for a number of applications, we've seen it used in apparel, such as cuffs and caps, and also in the industrial industry where other factors such as heat or water don't factor. As a mid range solution, HALCO PLUS is a versatile option, providing a quality Hook & Loop tape with good open/close cycles, but not at a premium level cost.	This is our entry-level Hook & Loop solution. It is a more cost effective solution than our other ranges, and is viable when open/close cycles will be at a minimum. We've found that this is a fantastic solution for the furnishings industry such as sofa coverings, where once fastened, the likelihood of being repeatedly opened and closed is low and thus can maintain a strong fastening for years. With suitability up to 1,000 open/close cycles, HALCO ESSENTIALS is a great value-for-money solution.
